The multiple applications of IoT networks

What is the Internet of Things #IoT? How can the #IoT help increase the productivity and profitability of companies or improve our lives?

In the round table organized yesterday by La Voz de Galicia, an attempt has been made to answer these questions and the relevance of these technologies has been revealed. Our CEO, Francisco Javier Valdés Sánchez has participated together with Pili Chapela Villanueva, Managing Director of Redes de Telecomunicación Galegas Retegal, S.A., Alfredo Ramos, General Director of R Galicia and Felipe Gil Castiñeira, teacher at #TelecoVigo and researcher at #atlanTTic Research Center .

All of them have exposed different use cases and commercial applications that are being carried out in multiple fields: energy efficiency, home automation, smart agriculture and livestock, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, personalized medicine, etc.

They have also highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence when it comes to extracting the maximum value from the information generated by connected devices, the importance of #5G for certain applications and have offered their vision of the future for this technology.
