The company will offer in Amsterdam new Transmitters and Gapfillers from WHET Series expanding energy efficiency throughout the RF power range.
The RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam will hold again the IBC international exhibition, which this year will take place from 9th to 13th September. Egatel will be there, and on this occasion will show, within WHET series (Wideband High Efficiency Transmitters), new lines of Low, Medium and High power TV Transmitters and Gapfillers characterized by High Energy Efficiency in minimum size designs.
In Low power, we will be introducing the TUWH1000 and RUWH1000 families, compact modules which reach output powers up to 125 Wrms in a single rack unit. The new UHF TV transmitters and transposers series, that support all digital standards (DVB-T/T2, ATSC (3.0 ready), ISDB-Tb), have been especially developed for filling in coverage gaps in challenging and critical space saving situations. A built-in advanced Digital Adaptive Precorrection system makes it possible to automatically deliver the optimal over-the-air signal and a powerful multistandard Echo Canceller, in SFN Gapfillers case suppresses installation feedbacks in the most challenging echo conditions.
In Medium power, the new TUWH3000 transmitters series reaches up to 300 Wrms output power in only 3RU; with high performance amplifiers with external fans and redundant power supplies, they provide an excellent reliability, flexibility and service quality.
With these new products Egatel extends the High Energy Efficiency over the whole RF power range, by applying Wideband Doherty Technology to TV Transmitters and Gapfillers that will be used in the latter stages of TV network coverage.
Finally, in High power, as an evolution of the high power first WHET Series Transmitters supplied during the last 2 years, the liquid cooled TLWH7900 Series has been conceived. Its new 2RU compact amplifiers with up to 3 redundant power supplies and leader market energy efficiency level, make this equipment the best option for high power sites to cover large areas.
Within the new satellite services business area, it will also be shown the ‘Smart LNB‘, a terminal developed for the satellite operator Eutelsat. The’smart LNB’ is a cutting-edge electronic device connected to the satellite dish equipped with a novel transceiver that has a High Efficiency narrowband return link. The terminal will shake up the SatCom market, by opening the door to a wide range of satellite TV connected services such as: HbbTV, social networking, payment transactions, subscription-based management and on-demand services, etc; Besides TV connected services, the ‘smart LNB’ supports multiple Machine to Machine (M2M) applications: e-Health, smart Homes, Smart Metering, etc.
